A Brief History:"It is a place that cherishes it's past as it looks to the future"
The earliest know mention of Singapore was a 3rd century Chinese account which described Singapore as "Pu-luo-chung" or the island at the end of a peninsula. Little is know about the island's history at this time but many well known handed down descriptions point to Singapore's colorful past.
Singapore Today:
"It is a city with it's head in the future and it's soul in the past" In just 150 years, Singapore has grown into a thriving center of commerce and industry, and the Republic has increased it's manfacturing base. Singapore is the busiest port in the world with over 600 shipping lines, sending super tankers, container ships and passenger liners to share.
